Macclesfield Singers Christmas Concert

It’s that time of year again!

No, not Christmas but I’ve realised that I haven’t updated my website in quite some time, so will start to add content again over the next few weeks.

In the immediate future, I’m busy working with the Macclesfield Singers (formerly KEMS Choir) with the Macclesfield Symphony Orchestra for a fun Christmas Concert this Saturday. Do come along to hear some Morten Lauridsen, Gabrieli, Kenneth Leighton and others with lots of popular carols thrown in to the mix. It should be a good one!

Jenkins: The Armed Man (A Mass for Peace)

I’ve had a busy few months and can’t believe it is nearly Christmas. Last week I even had 3 events within the space of 24-hours!

This Saturday night I am delighted to conduct the KEMS Choir and Orchestra in the society’s first performance of a work by Karl Jenkins: The Armed Man. Very fitting for the first Saturday after Remembrance. The event takes place in St Michael’s Church in Macclesfield Market Place at 7:30pm on 15-November. Hope to see you there!

Mendelssohn Elijah

The King Edward Music Society (KEMS) are putting their final touches on their programme for their big choral work of the year, Mendelssohn’s Elijah. The concert will take place in St Michael’s Church in Macclesfield on Sat 10th May (7:30pm).

Tickets are going fast, and can be ordered online from the KEMS website

Jet2 launch

Last week, I took the Airport Choir on a trip on Concorde…well not quite….we sang under the wings of the now retired beast that is sitting at the Runway Visitor Park at Manchester Airport. The occasion? The launch of a new route by Jet2 to Vienna! We sang two sets and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to arrange the 80’s Ultravox song for the event.

Here are a few pictures to satisfy your curiosity…..
