As someone who was thrown out of choirs as a boy for singing out of tune and whose singing brings a pained expression to the face of my musical wife, I decide to late in life I wanted to learn to sing. Ian is the ideal voice coach – his extensive understanding of musical theory, the anatomy and physiology of the vocal apparatus and the Alexandra technique seems to enable him to magically transform the sound coming out my mouth with simple suggestions and exercises. Each lesson is a pleasure and takes my voice to places it has not been before. I can wholeheartedly recommend him.
